Yet some people are still feeling it is important to be purchasing pepper spray for personal protection instead of buying a gun, let alone getting a permit to carry one.
Since the new gun laws won't really affect the preppers too much, the question you should ask yourself is where are you in your preparations for a natural catastrophe or civil unrest?
It is pretty straight forward. Assuming that you exist in any of the areas recorded above you should not have the ability to lawfully possess one. Those states moreover convey pretty hardened disciplines assuming that you are gotten with one.
