The Motives Of Ashford Settlement

By April Briggs

A certain group of people may do all they can to protect a certain region that they are associated with but some occurrences may lead to them giving in. Such include natural calamities and effects resulting to human activities. They are forced to occupy other regions that are provided by the authorities or those behind the calamities. Among the motives behind Ashford settlement are discussed in depth and width.

Structures in a certain area may have existed for a very long period of time. There comes a time when they can no longer be dwelt on due to weakening of their foundation resulting to alarming cracks on the wall. Poor construction may also been done when putting up a building leading to collapse within a short period of time. Such occurrences have to be averted in all means possible and the affected settled in a more secure region.

Mining is part of the activities that humans have engaged in to cater for their needs. This has resulted to mines that are very deep. The fact that they use heavy machines in these depths affects the ground stability leading to formation of other mines and caves in unwanted regions. These are dangerous and measures have to be quickly put up to ensure that they do not claim lives.

The underground is believed to be covered with water. The underground water may Cause soil erosion in the depths it is found in resulting to sink holes. Such occurrences take place in least expected areas. If it happened to occur in a region where people have inhabited, lives are likely to be lost. Those in the regions must be settled in other safe areas in the shortest time possible.

Industries have been on the rise as a result of the increased human activities of productions. Some of the products being manufactured are made using chemicals. Toxic substances are emitted as exhaust fume and waste. Some chemicals may also get spilled posing a lot of dangers. To contain such a happening, the involved company has to settle those affected before they can effectively contain the damage caused.

The recent days have witnessed many landslides affecting different regions. Ecology has greatly been affected resulting to unpredictable weather patterns. Heavy rains have been associated with landslides even in regions that are not prone to them. They are very dangerous and quick measures to deal with them have to be put in place. These measures will include settling the affected in more secure regions.

Floods have existed since time immemorial. Measures such as good drainage systems have been put up to minimize them. They still take place despite all these efforts. They also are associated with other calamities such as disease outbreaks whenever they happen and alternative living places have to be provided to victims.

There are some natural calamities that are very to occur but require to be effectively handled whenever they take place. They include earthquakes. A high magnitude earthquake can be so destructive and is not likely to leave any structure on its feet. Settlement is carried to provide the affected with new living places.
