When gay wedding was legalized in all 50 states of the United States, it becomes the headlined the world news and became a talk of the town, if not earth. The controversy sparked and many have debated. If you would ask some, they will tell you that the world is evolving, including its residents. Matrimony is a holy sacrament. The bible states that Jesus Christ espoused the Church. Christ stands as the groom while the church is his bride. This should be the same in man and woman. It is a holy union between the husband and his wife.
It does not have the same benefits as weddings between man and woman. Since homosexuals do not conceive a child during their married life. Conservative Catholics believed that adopting a child can be unfair. This may cause confusion in the child why he has two mothers or two fathers, instead of a father and mother.
Although the world may be quite judgmental of these people, we have not right to judge and hurt their feelings. Of course, people may say that the only thing they felt for each other is lust and not love. Most people may tell them that one day, the other person will leave them for a real man or woman. But if their love for each other is pure, then you should not stand in the way, just because you do not believe them. Love your neighbors as I loved you, this is the greatest command of Christ. Being a catholic means honoring His command.
